Applied Genomics was founded in 2017 by Michal Golan Mashiach, Ph.D. Michal has more than 15 years of academic and industry experience in genetics, bioinformatics and computational biology. She has been the Chief Scientific Officer of Hong Kong based Dr. Gene – an online genetic diagnostics services start-up company. She works as a clinical consultant and NGS specialist with several genetics diagnostic and gene editing companies in Israel. Michal holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University in Israel, MBA from The Recanati Graduate School for Business Administration from Tel Aviv University in Israel, M.Sc. in Bioinformatics from the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel and a Ph.D. in Systems-Biology from the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel.
